How to Install dnsmasq software package in Debian 8 (Jessie)

dnsmasq software package provides Small caching DNS proxy and DHCP/TFTP server, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install dnsmasq 

dnsmasq is installed in your system.

Make ensure the dnsmasq package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dnsmasq *

You will get with dnsmasq package name, version, architecture and description in a table
